MB2E MARKET BRIEFS

Origin Story
Paying homage to The Negro Motorist Green Book, a 15-page guide listing travel-related businesses that welcomed African American customers during the segregation era in the United States (1936 – 1967), The Green Sheet is a grassroots e-guide, listing businesses that support diversity, ideas for planned giving to minorities, minority businesses, and social justice initiatives, and wealth building tips and tools for the Diversity Equity Inclusion and Accessibility community today.
The Green Sheet is needed today more than ever on the heels of President Trump’s executive order that terminates all federal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) programs across the Federal Government, resulting in thousands of federal employee layoffs. Thousands more stand to lose jobs as private sector giants follow suit. DEIA programs are being slashed or eliminated at Goldman Sachs, Google, Target, Meta Platforms, Amazon, McDonald's, Walmart, Ford, Lowe's, Harley-Davidson, Brown-Forman, John Deere, and Tractor Supply, amongst others.
The removal of DEIA language and legal clauses from contracts, sales proposals, marketing content, and corporate communications can cripple commerce and financial security in DEIA communities. As a counteractive measure, the following topics are
covered in The Green Sheet:
• New Investor Diary Entries – Chronicling investor activities, lessons learned, gains and losses shared through investing in individual stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc.
• Companies that Support Diversity – Lists of DEIA-supportive companies to shop at, invest in, and promote to others in the DEIA community.
• Smart and Generous Tips for Planned Giving – Every DEIA wealth portfolio should also include altruism through financial gifts to worthy causes. The Green Sheet explores the best ways to give responsibly and to track tax deductible giving.
